Amamiji Trail
Amamiji Trail
Amamiji Trail is an 11.2-kilometer coastal route stretching from the Kannon Rock trailhead on the Kashiwajima-Futaishi Prefectural Road to Amamiji. Near the Kannon Rock trailhead, you may occasionally spot wild monkeys, a playful connection to the previous Odo Saru Trail. At the two rest areas along the way, relax while gazing out over the vast Pacific. Watching tuna feeding at Kashiwajima's aquaculture farms is a dynamic highlight. Issai Fishing Port, shaped by the Kuroshio Current, is home to an impressive diversity of marine life. In these remarkably clear waters, spot coral, tropical fish, and even large fish over 50 centimeters long. The area is also popular with anglers.
